Rich Energy Systems is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at AA level and continue to improve as standards evolve.
What we've done
Our site is built with accessibility in mind:
- Semantic HTML structure so screen readers can interpret content correctly.
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background, tested against WCAG AA thresholds.
- Keyboard navigation across all interactive elements — links, buttons, forms and menus.
- Descriptive labels on form fields and buttons.
- Alt text on meaningful images, and decorative images marked accordingly.
- Responsive design that adapts to mobile, tablet and desktop without losing functionality.
- No content that relies on autoplay audio or flashing animations that could trigger seizures.
Known limitations
We're aware that some areas could be better. We're working on:
- Improving captions and transcripts for any video content we publish.
- Auditing PDF documents on the site to ensure they meet accessibility standards.
- Further testing with assistive technology users.
If you find an accessibility barrier we haven't listed, please let us know — we'll prioritise fixing it.
How to navigate the site
- Keyboard: use Tab to move forward, Shift + Tab to move back, and Enter or Space to activate links and buttons.
- Zoom: the site supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
- Screen readers: we test with VoiceOver (macOS / iOS) and NVDA (Windows). Other readers should also work.
